Where do you buy Quilters Select rulers?

I need to replace the 6 x12 that I broke which was my favorite one. Few places sell them and I don't want to pay full price plus hefty shipping.
Am I missing a place? If not I'll go ahead and just order one. I really love that one the most. The first time I bought a set from the Quilt show when they had a special and they are by far my favorite rulers. Tia

Hi Susie,
I've bought all mine from the Quilt Show. I use the members' discount to buy them. I haven't seen them for sale in other places.

I know what you mean Susie. I wanted to get a 6 x 12 Quilter's Select ruler. I looked at Quilt Festival and found one booth that had a couple of their rulers. Luckily, one of them was 6 x 12.

Thanks for the heads up on the Quilt Show, Rob

A quilt shop close to me sells them and has a 30% off notion sale twice a year. I head straight to the QS ruler rack during the sale. I have about all of the the sizes, some duplicates. Seems every quilt shop I've bee in over the last several years sell QS rulers.

I just saw one at Missouri Star quilts

I bought mine a few years ago in a package deal that was offered by Alex Anderson. Red Rock Threads also carries them and they have wonderful service and good prices.

You're so lucky! There are 2 shops that I use because they're close. Sadly, all they have is Creative Grids which are okay but I prefer QS.

When a quilt shop carries Quilter's Select, they have to sign a contract that says they won't sell them online. Maybe The Quilt Show and Missouri Star have a different contract than your local quilt shop.

Search local quilt shops. I was wandering through a shop in Shipshewana this weekend mot looking for them, when they jumped right out in front of me. They were near the other templates but not mixed in. They were all together in a separate display unit. Hidden in plain sight.

I bought the same package from them. I'll try Red Rock or maybe just order again from the Quilt Show. MSQC only has a few and not the one I need.

Maybe The Quilt Show and Missouri Star have a different contract than your local quilt shop.

The Quilt Show is Alex Anderson who is partnered with QS brand.

There are many online shops that sell QS rulers. Fat Quarter shop, Keepsake Quilting, Missouri Star, Quilt in A Day, and many smaller online stores. The quilt shops in my area sell them from their online shops too. I don't understand a company saying their product could be sold only to customers who pay in person.

That's interesting. Thanks for the info.

It is a pity that QS rulers are not more widely available from online sources, Amazon in particular. I got mine shipped free when I ordered from an online fabric seller who also stocked QS rulers. That said, I really had to hunt around to find a seller who both had free shipping on large orders AND QS rulers!

I have seen them listed on Etsy sites.

I went to the lqs today and I asked the owner if it was in the contract to not sell QS online. She said she would never have signed a contract like that. Online sales are what keeps her shop open for customers and most shops have an online store.

When I was the manager of our quilt shop, we had to sign a contract stating that we wouldn't sell our QS rulers online. So why can some, and not others. Interesting.... Maybe things have changed in the last 1 1/2 years?

Onebyone 10-12-2022 09:36 PM

??? Lots of changes in the last year in a lot of things. Maybe the company wanted to support local shops by having a contract but found out it was hurting the sales instead.

I ended up ordering it from The Quilt Show. They had the best price and shipping. That's where I got my original set when they had a special a few years ago.
Thanks for all the comments, everyone!

If you go to quilt shows the box special is the best buy. You get ruler, mat, rotary cutter, thread, and lots of extra for half the amount if bought separate, at least at the last show I attended. The box was $99. I already had the ruler size and they let me change it for another. My friend had the cutter so she got to exchange for another QS product. Excellent customer service.

Red Rock Threads is where I bought mine
