Where oh where are you dusty miller?
 

Im looking for a pieced dusty miller block pattern, cant find one anywhere! Anyone ever run across this pattern?

Can curves be paper pieced?

Most say no ... though Never Say No to me, as I did it when doing my PC blocks.
Here's two examples. The 2nd was done PP, except for the centre which was appliqued on top of the Bird's Eye View block.

I know better than to say no to you, QuiltE! Those are great. I also know someone who has done two paper pieced double wedding ring quilts, so I guess the answer is a resounding yes, curves CAN be paper pieced. LOL

The gentler the curve, the easier it is. What I found was that it helped to stabilize the fabric, so it didn't stretch as I worked with it. Sometimes I have had to nick the edges a little to get the stretch that's needed. However, I don't think I'd want to do a lot of curve PP work.

I have seen PP wedding ring patterns ... would be so nice for the accuracy. Which is why I love PPing and opt for it sometimes more than I should. I really do see it as a lazy way to piece!! :)
