It depends: white if you want the plate to stand out and cream if you want it subdued.

I think it really depends on the decor of the room you are planning to use it in. If it is a bright contemporary room, I would use the white. If it is more of a traditional decor, I would go cream.

I like it on white, tho they both certainly work. The white provides more of a contrast.

There really isn't a 'right' one. The cream gives it more of a warm or softer look. The white lets the dresden be bolder. I think it is more of where it will be used or the person you are giving it to.
