I need to buy white fabric, one quilt I was thinking with a small design and the other quilt I want solid. One quilt will be all hexies w/varity of blue and the other quilt will be rectangles. Do you go to LQS or a discount store? I notice with white fabric you can see through it, will all white fabric be that way?

I am trying Kona Snow for a solid white. It is not as see through as most any others. Kona Snow is not stark white though.

You can actually try some of the premium muslins. Some are of a very nice weight and I've used for my white.

I went to the LQS and auditioned the white solids. The one I chose was by Robert Kaufman. It was in the $6 range - not as much as the prints.

I try to purchase my white fabric from LQS, the quality seems to be much better, pricier, but better

I like Moda Bella Solids White or Ivory. The Ivory is not white white.
