I love looking at everyone's beautiful quilts. However, I must admit I am equally amused by the quilt holders! You know, the husband, son, neighbor that holds the quilt high and at the same time tries to hide behind it
Sometimes all you see are bare feet & hands! If it's a woman those bare feet are on tippy toes.
So who holds your quilt? I have my hubby & adult son hold mine.

A big thanks to all you anonymous hands & feet we see everyday! Be sure to make them a quilt!

My hubby most of the time, my daughter and I are both only 5' 5" ish. LOl what a fun question!

I just lay mine on the floor or fold it artistically on the sofa and then do the photo shoot.

Now Eddie has it going on with a pretty banister to put his quilts on to photograph them.

Mine go on the floor too  There usually isn't anyone around when I want to get a picture taken. Maybe this summer I will put some of the neighbor kids to work :D:D:D

Pat usually holds mine and he generally gets his cute mug into the shot.

I usually have my daughter hold my quilts....she tries really hard to stay out of the pics!!

If I am at home, it is hubby or Sis. If I am at my Tuesday quilting group at church, it could be any one of about 7 ladies. It sure is good to have friends who will stand with their arms in the air so that you can get just the right shot of your masterpiece.

Most of the time it is my hubby holding the quilt. Sometimes it is one or two of my children, or my son's ex-girlfriend. I am always the one taking the picture and not holding the quilt.

I hold them, and my sister takes the pic.

I have my kids hold my quilts but they have to stand on chairs or tables to do it LOL :)

We pin them up to the curtains or to the design wall. If it's really small, one of us may hold it, but otherwise, wherever works best to pin it up!

My son is almost 6 foot tall so he holds up mine.

My fav picture is still of (can't remember whose hubby) was asked to show the other side of the quilt and turned it around with his "other side" in front of it! Loved his sense of humor.

I usually hold my own since I am 6ft tall and have someone else take the picture, or I lay it on the couch or hardwood floor and take it myself.

The last few years I hold mine and daughter takes the pics. I email pictures to a Sister in TN and I want her to know it was made by me. DGD boyfriend held up the quilt in my avatar.

dkabasketlady 01-19-2010 07:05 PM

I usually lay mine on the bed and stand on a step-stool on my tip-toes to take the pic. Sometimes I use my Mom's clothesline.

littlehud 01-20-2010 04:58 PM

My son, sometimes. Usually they are just laying on the floor. DGD isn't tall enough to hold them.
