I saw a brand new one at Goodwill. Almost picked it up...
If I can get rave reviews of it on here, I'll check tomorrow when I'm there to see if it is still available.

Let me know your thoughts on it if you have this iron...

Thanks in advance

I got mine new about 8 years ago at an ACE hardware store and I love it. I love that it doesn't turn off automatically, gets nice and hot and weighs enough to really 'press' those seams flat. If I ever replace it, I hope to replace it with the same kind.

It is a good iron.

Funny you should ask. I had a Black and Decker iron for ages. Don't know the model, but it died last Friday! I cleaned it and when I tried to turn it on, it was dead. Had to go buy a new one.

Too funny. Mine just died yesterday after I cleaned it
It was a B & D Home though.

My MIL has one - she doesn't really like it, says it doesn't get very hot. But it works well enough, she hasn't gone and bought another one.

Maybe we shouldn't clean the iron !! It died from being cleaner! LOL...sorry for the joke but it never fail to happen when you try to do the good deed or care of it & it just go....bloop!

I have a B & D that I like. Don't know which one, though.

I love mine, got it when MIL passed. It's very old and still works like new.

I had one that broke when it got dropped a couple of times. I liked it a lot. It was a good size and had a good heft to it. The only complaint that I had was the little steam holes on the bottom of the iron. When you are pressing small quilt squares or if you were pressing close to the edge of the fabric, the fabric would catch in the little holes and the fabric would scrunch up under the iron and it was hard to get the wrinkles out again once they were there.

I really miss it, now that you remind me of it. All I have now is the iron that came with my Oreck vacuum cleaner and it's too big for me.

I have had several of these irons. I love them because they are a little heavier and I feel like it presses my blocks better. I have bought several extras just in case they burn out. So far they are still in great shape.
