My Omnigrid rulers are my most used rulers. I, too, have mono vision; but have never had trouble with the rulers. I do have excellent lighting in my sewing room.

I don't like them at all. I don't have monovision and the fat lines still drive me crazy. If I have to use one, I will intentionally line up the fabric to measure it so I am NOT on any fat line.

Me too. Much better than the black and white ones. But whatever brand, the new ones that they've added an extra 1/2" too really throw me off.

I have a hard time with the yellow so have been slowly switching over to clear rulers after my cataract surgery and that has helped me

OK, you quilters with mono vision:
I have it also. Got Lasik surgery years ago before starting to quilt. Wish I could go back to glasses.

Do you have a hard time with measuring? Sewing straight? Piecing correctly?

Every quilt I make ends up being crooked; I blame it on lack of depth perception due to mono vision. I end up ripping everything out and starting over.

How do you adjust? I measure and measure and measure and line up and cut/sew on "the line" and I'm still crooked. HELP!

I'm ok with mine but over time, the markings tend to come off so I'm slowly replacing mine with Creative Grids. I like these much better and they have built-in non-slip pads on the back.

i have moved to these frosted ones too. like them a lot & just use the yellow lined rulers for extending a narrower ruler.

I'm not a big fan either. I bought one when I first started to quilt and quickly went out and bought an Olfa.

I wonder if it possible to have an optometrist set you up with glasses that have correction in only one lens or both so that your vision in both eyes is the same for sewing and cutting. As i get older my eyes are changing and it is unnerving to say the least! Good luck!
