Whole Cloth from Tablecloth Question
I purchased a gently used embroidered tablecloth at the second hand store. It has lots of open space for FMQ, but some of the embroidered areas, like little flower petals, are cut out. Do I just back those areas with fabric and Steam a Seam it on?
This will be a wall hanging. Thanks, Watson |
It sounds intriguing. We need pictures!

Cindy Needham has classes, videos, and books on using vintage linens to make quilts. Here's a video with her showing some of her linen wholecloth quilts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo6ST1_R2VY She has a craftsy class that also shows some of the techniques she uses.

check out Kelly Cline's website too, she does lots of work with old linens. Often she'll use a solid, contrast color behind the cut work.
