I know many small business that go bankrupt the bank will sell the inventory to a seller. Usually in one big lot for pennies on the dollar. Most of the inventory is sold to auction houses and is auctioned or sold in lots. I got a box full of Janome and Brother feet, new in the package, from a bankrupt dealer at auction for $5. I got all the feet for my Brother 1500 and Janome Jem. I kept what I needed and gave the rest to guild members. The members with the expensive Janome and Brother embroidery machines found feet for their machines in the box. There were still feet left over so a machine dealer in the next town bought the leftovers for a big profit to the guild. Why don't dealers go to auctions?
