I really have to control my thinking. If I let myself go I start thinking about all the quilts that are waiting to be finished and I then get them out and have them scattered all over my sewing room until the one I am working on is forgotton and I am on to something else. I really am trying to complete past started quilts and/or tops so I can start new ones with an uncluttered sewing room.

I quilt because I like the creative process, not because I need to have something done ASAP. Smaller, scrappy complex fiddly bits make me happier than big pieces so that is what I make! To each their own.

I'm a scrappy kind of girl i love to get lost in my fabric. When I'm working on one project I'm dreaming about the next.

yep, that's it for me as well. The creative process. Even my so called "failures" make me happy.

That is what makes quilting so wonderful! I'm with you all the way. I find myself looking through my stash and have a ton of ideas. This is why it takes me twice as long to finish a project as it should because of dreaming. Keep on with your ideas!

I am so glad that I am not alone in fondling fabric and dreaming. Someone had the idea of making one extra block from the quilts we make, then stretch that block over a canvas and use as art on the wall. Why couldn't we make a miniature of the block and hang that on the wall?

I have never made a minature. Any special tips for doing this?

I do this when ever I'm trying to solve or work out major life decisions. I always end up with a memory quilt and the distraction from over thinking makes the problem easier to resolve. My last one is named My Move to Missouri It's become my favorite one and it is on my bed here in Missouri

Well, I got the snow I asked for. Maybe a little more than I wanted 'cause now I have to go clean it up. But here are the results, as promised. I think the scrap strips you see here will make good binding. Not sure yet. That comes after the hand quilting. My lunch project for the week!
