i would feel the same way. i like some "puff" after washing, but am happiest when it's more flat than not. BUT ... and this is a hugely important "BUT" ... 9,99, out of 10,000 people would look at it and not think it had any extra "puff" at all. the problem is not the quilt, or the results of your lovely work. the problem is us. lol cross my heart ... it's lovely just the way it is. but if you can't be happy with it, then follow the advice already given and add a bit more quilting here and there. So true, so true. |

A quick update and big thankyou to everyone for advising me on this quilt. I have added more quilting....not echo-ing as I'm woeful at that......just some simple curls in the bigger spaces. I am much happier with it now even if it did take me forever to tie off and darn in the ends for each of the little curls! Thankyou again.

It's a lovely quilt! I'm glad you're happy with it.

It looks great, and you are happy. Yay!

I think the added quilting makes it "just right" :)

Ruby, I think this is soooo much better. About tying each thread.....you can simply take very small, short stitches at the beginning and ending of whatever you are quilting to secure the ends. Then clip the threads close to the quilt. When done well, you won’t see the stops and starts. Most people only tie when they are entering the quilt in a quilt show, but not always for that. I am happy to see you added quilting and the results. Great Job!!! Ellen
