Will faux flange binding work with odd angles?

I have a table runner ready to bind-thought I would try a faux flange binding. The runner has "pointy" ends-the blocks were set on point. Will this binding work with "corners" that are not 90 degree angles? I have googled around, but not coming up with any info. Thank you!

If you can do the angles well on regular binding , it works the same. Here's a picture of it on my table topper. :mad:I only use this topper with a plant in the middle due to the unexpected center design

Oh wow, I would co we that up too. So sorry.

It should work but I would first try it on a normal 4 side quilt. Make a quick table runner or placemat. Then when you have done one, then it will be easier to handle the unusual angles.

Tartan, OOPS! Who would have thought???? I might have to retire that topper, as pretty as it is!
Thanks for the info though.....I will give it a try on some scraps I think....I have made toppers similar to yours with those angles, and I actually thought it was kind of fun to bind those crazy angles! :)

That's a gorgeous result - glad you thought to ask the question and then tried it!

My favorite binding. Looks perfect.

Sew pretty! That faux flange gives just the right bit of pizazz to the edge. I really like the flange binding for table toppers and runners as it gives a stiffer edge which helps them lay flat.

The flange does look great. It really adds to the binding & the quilt. Very nice!
