Will purchase new machine

I will either purchase the Brother PE 770 or the Innov-is 1500d. I am wondering what is a fair price for the 1500d considering it has or will be discontinued.

When you purchase or go to look at new machines ask the dealer or do you want to px.

No, I do not want to px. I have spoken to dealers, but each time the quote is different. I don't want to pay between $2500. (out of the box) and $3000 new if the machine (1500d) will be discontinued.

Check ebay for closed auction prices.

Thanks. I will check it out.

why is it being discontinued. I would get the 1500 before the 770 because it has way more features and a larger field.

I called a dealer to inquire about the 1500d, and she said it would be discontinued. She then told me there was a 2200 (Brother) with an msrp of $5000, would not give me retail over the phone...I am assuming it is negotiable?? I am leaning toward the 1500d because I would probably want to upgrade after a few months.

I just downsized to the 770. I had a 4500d but rarely used it so I sold it and got the 770... which oddly enough I haven't used!! I was planning to use it today but have to load my embroidery software on to the laptop.

I only used the big hoop once, to make a sweatshirt for my sister. I don't foresee me doing shirts anymore (for me they were always a pain in the butt) so the 5x7 will be aokay and it was a heck of a lot cheaper than the 770. I got it on Amazon.
