the winding way pattern

i am getting ready to make two baby quilts. one is just a self created one the other is going to be a variation of the winding ways pattern called way around. now those who have seen or made one do you think two fabrics would look okay or should i do more than two? the colors will be purple and not sure cream white or light purple what do you guys think? pics of yours will be wonderful alos. i am using batiks for this.

here are a bunch to look at. purple and off white seems to be a popular choice.

I'm not familiar with the Way Around variation - nor does it come in a (very quick) search.

That said, I think using multiple purples would make a much more interesting quilt.
I personally find that just two fabrics, repeated over and over and over in the same block across an entire quilt, to be not particularly interesting.

Look at all these variations:

I did like the on-point setting in this one - (and it's purple):

I've made several and the 2 color ones are kind of boring, but for a small baby quilt two would be just fine.
Here are some from this board:

Winding ways pattern is on my to do list. I like having contrast between the two colors so the circles show more on the quilt. Looking forward to seeing your quilt top.
