You'll get through it with the hand work you have on hand to keep you busy. I miss my machine too, when it goes in for cleaning. I guess I need a second one in the future so I won't be without a machine when one goes in. LOL

I used to until I purchased a second machine to use when mine went in for service!

That is one reason I have a standby machine. It is one that I carry to classes.

AH, and what will I do after the surgery on my right shoulder? I won't be able to sew for weeks!! I hope I am going to be a proper object of pity to all of you. LOL.

Ouch! :-( I sometimes complain about the arthritis in my left shoulder, but luckily, at least for now, my right shoulder does not bother me. Hope you get well quickly!

I am very blessed to have 3 sewing machines now. My most recent was when the people moved out two doors down, they were going to take this old singer to good will. long story short, I worked on it all day and got it up and running. Its a old singer and only does straight stitch, but its pretty and it was free. God bless. Penny

Penny, sounds like you got a treasure from those neightbors that moved out! Lucky you!

That's why it's good to have a spare machine! It's like medicine, you can't run out!

Ditto on that!! And I don't have new machines, my newest is 40+ yrs. old.

YES! I have been away from home for a month and didn't plan well enough to bring my machine and a project. I have been suffering. I will never travel for an extended period without the full entourage of machine, tools and project! it's been the pits.
