With or without points?
2 Attachment(s)
Would you add the points even though they don't meet or just add the corner stones?? Thank you.
With points.
I would add the points but they should be points. Can you cut the blue pinecone fabric down a bit (make the white larger) and get the point? Or add two smaller points? If you cannot get the points I would just do the 2nd pic.
Just the cornerstones.
I vote for the second one. No points.
i like the first one but it does distract a bit. so the second one gets my vote.
I like the second one if you are adding the same blue print to the sides and bottom. The first one distracts from the Frosty panel. Is this a wall hanging or quilt? I would like to see it when you are finished.
Thanks ladies, it's gonna be a quilt made from a kids book panel. I thought it would be so cute, but I fussy cut the blocks and there 9 1/2" so corner stones it will be. Thank you. Maybe I can come up with a special setting???
However you decide to do it it will still be cute.
I might surround that picture with snowballs.

I like either way. I'm it is a really cute quilt!
I prefer the second photo without points. Cute!
Ditto on the second picture. Be sure and show us when you are finished. BrendaK

The second one. I think the first is fancy, while the panel is casual/whimsical, so not really a match in my mind.
I also like the second one. The first one, even if were a pointy point, would distract from Frosty. Please show us your finished wall hanging. It sounds like a cute idea to use a book panel in this way.
Can we throw a third option into the pot? How about turning it around and having the non-points push outward (I assumes it will be on all four sides). It would feel like he is bursting out into the world!!
Me, too. Number 2.
I'd use cornerstones. I think the points pull your eyes away from the snowman.
I'd use cornerstones - maybe snowballed like Tartan suggested. Great panel!
Thanks ladies going with the corner stones and have a setting picked out will see if it will work out the way I want it to.
I choose the 2nd one with cornerstones!
Really cute snowman! Either would look fine but of the two I think I prefer option 2.
Or - how about option 3!! Leave the white points and put blue cornerstones. The effect would be stars!! |
I agree with kiswift.
I'm working on the setting and hoping for the best.
I think the second is a good choice. If it's a layout of several of these, you have to consider that some would have the points coming in, and some with them going out - complicated to keep a regular pattern going on.
