Women of the Bible
My ladies Bible study group is beginning a study on women of the Bible. We will be doing a different woman each month. I would like to do a quilt block representing each women and at the end of the 9 month study present the quilt to our group. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas where I might find Women of the Bible block, layouts, etc. Thanks beforehand for the replies.

Cool idea, I will be watching for the suggestions.

i may be wrong, but I think Kay England has a Book or a quilt pattern on Women of the Bible. I do know there are other such quilts. Google it.

I have been wanting to do one too! I made by sister 12 bible themed blocks in a monthly swap we did, but it wasn't women of the bible. |
:) I love your idea. At my Bible study we are studying the book of Esther. I will be watching this post for ideas. Thanks.
Thank you missgigglewings for the resource you posted. Now, I have to figure out which one to do first. PTL! What a pleasure. |
Love your idea, and the link that missgigglewings gave. It is a perfect answer to your project.

Here is another site for Bible blocks: http://members.shaw.ca/kigraham/

I believe Kaye England's book is something like "Road to Jericoe". I was to do stencils for it many years ago but never got around to it. I did stencils for her other historical women's quilt block.

If you Google "Women of the Bible Quilt Blocks" you will get lots of information including info about a current study group doing a quilt.

You can always pick your own blocks based on each woman from a free site. There are lots of public domain blocks with biblical connotations. Brickworks, garden of eden, palm fronds, crown of thorns, crossroads just to name a few.
