Wonder clips
I’d like to buy them. What size do I want. I think I want the original. The one for seam binding Also, the Best Buy. Thanks

I bought clips, not the brand name on Amazon. I paid under $8 for 100 clips. They work perfect and was the best buy I could fine. I us Amazon Prime.

I have the Wonder Clips and the ones from Amazon and they both work well. Amazon's are much cheaper.
|
I have both the genuine and the copies, and can't tell the difference. I use the Mini clips all the time for binding. I have a few of the Jumbo, but seldom use them.
|
. I prefer the original. The cheaper ones are easy to break or get sprung. The original ones I have are still fine. I think the extra cost will save me money in the long run.

I got a cute tin with 100 knockoffs. It was worth it even if a few break. Which so far they haven’t.
|
I bought some of the Wonder Clips in the large size--nice, but almost too big to be practical. So bought a tin of knock-offs for much, much less and they are great--both at the machine and when I do binding, etc. I find that I basically only use the large ones now to hold many layers of cut fabric together as I organize my project.
|
I've wondered about the knock-off clips. Price wise, they are a deal. Good to know they work just as well. I have a few of the small ones and don't care to use them... So far. I may change my mind as I quilt more.

I liberated some small binder clips from work. Are the Wonder Clips that much better?
|
I bought a 10 pack of the name brand at Joann with a coupon. I really liked them so I bought the 100 pack of knockoff brand in the tin on Amazon. The price for 100 knockoffs on Amazon was just a few cents more than the 10 pack WITH A COUPON at Joann. All 110 have worked well and I haven’t broken any of them. I don’t see how the off brand could ever be a bad deal. I would have to break 1,000 of them to match the price of buying the name brand. I don’t see that ever happening.

I started off the a couple packs of the original red ones, then someone on this site mentioned the 100 in a box of multi-color clips at a great price. Got them and love them. They work just as good as the original at a greatly reduced priced. I use them when hand binding, keeping block sections together. There's so many ways to use them and it keeps me from pricking myself and putting blood on my fabrics.

I just ordered some clips from Amazon for a great price--not original wonder clips. Used them this morning to stitch a sashing. Didn't get pin stuck. Will be using them in the future.
|
I also bought the knock-offs and have only broken 1--by accidentally stepping on it. I found they are the best thing for holding parts of a bag together while sewing. Perfect in situations where the fabric layer is too thick to pin easily.

Thanks everyone!

I used the regular ones a lot. The mini ones are awesome for piecing and they grip tighter than the regular ones I use for binding.
|
Thanks to someone (don't remember who) I started using the clips instead of pins. What a great idea! When I normally had tiny scratches while sewing with pins holding fabric, I can smoothly remove the clips and no damage.I have to say I do get some of the greatest ideas reading the hints from all of you quilters. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
