Wonder Cut Ruler and Strip Tube Ruler - the same thing?

I have a question for those of you who happen to have both of these rulers. Does the Wonder Cut Ruler essentially do the same thing for you as the Strip Tube Ruler? I am such a visual person, I feel stupid asking some of these questions because if I could see each ruler in use in front of me, the answer would probably be obvious as to a yes or no and why - but I am not so good at picturing in my head.

I have both. The wondercut has the strip widths to cut and markings and you use the ruler to cut your strips and then you turn the ruler and cut the hst from the strip. The strip tube ruler, you figure out the width size for the tube on the chart provided and then use the ruler to cut the units. Each ruler has exact markings that eliminate the math for the finished size. It's really six of one, half dozen of the other.

I was thinking both rulers got you to the same place. So with the strip tube ruler, if I layered a solid color fabric top and bottom, I will end up with a traditional HST, right? (in her demo she uses a solid color on one side, and has used 2 colors on the other side).

So many rulers!!!
