I managed to get some Wonder Under on the sole plate of my iron. However, I discovered once the iron was completely cool, I sprayed it with my trusty cleaner....Krud Kutter..... I let it 'soak' for a second and wiped up the 'extra runs' while I waited. Then I used my fingernail to scratch off the excess Wonder Under. I was amazed at how easy the Wonder Under came off. Hope it helps someone else too.

ironing a dryer sheet takes it off as well. if you don't have that cleaning product.

Before I got my applique pressing sheet, which if you are doing anything with wonder under or the like, you need to have one, I would let my iron cool and then use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on it. Took it right off (It also took off the carpet that was melted to it when I knocked it off onto the floor once, okay twice, okay 3 times but I'm not confessing to anymore than that! Maybe I'll get that hardwood floor I want so bad....

Then the iron will be more apt to "not recover" - - -
