Wonderful little steel, leather and velcro thimble.

While sifting thru the stuff in my sewing room I rediscovered my wonderful little steel, leather and velcro thimble. Last Sunday I sliced the tip of my ring finger thru to the bone almost and managed to keep it patched up pretty well so that the tip has knitted itself back together. But it still almost brings me to my knees when I thump it on something----------I've discovered that I'm extremely uncordinatd. The steel tip that is the thimble part is a life saver for saving my finger from thumping. Thank you, God.

I sliced the side of my finger tip while using a madeline in my kitchen....
I feel your pain.

Ever notice that an injured part always seems to get bumped more often than usual?

Hope it heals well.

Was it a kitchen accident or a sewing accident? I have "trimmed" my finger on my vegetable mandolin. I have only given myself a manicure with the rotary cutter, both incidents make me super careful now. That is a bad cut and I hope it heals up well for you.

I had just sharpened my knife to chop stuff for a stir fry. I had the knife and my cutting board in my right hand and
crossed over to put the cutting board in my left hand and sliced the tip of my ring finger with the knife. I guess I cut some nerves. The flesh is healed nicely, but the thumps still take me to my knees and it's been 9 days.

One thing about it, when I pull off my ice cream heist, I'll have to wear gloves. The finger tip is going to have a very distinctive scar.
