WONDERful Wonder Clips

Have the pins, lots of them and now have a nice collection of Wonder Clips. In the past I only used them when I was hand sewing bindings. Now I find myself "clipping" more frequently. Just another must have notion. Makes me wonder what other super notions are on the horizon for quilters. Any ideas?

I too love my wonder clips. I use them most of the time anymore. They were the biggest help with making mask.
I was hoping to get a look at Quilted Turtle last month. They usually run the latest gadgets on their site. That is all they do. Check them out. www.Quiltedturtle.com.

Not a notion but one new item I use and love is Ordif Grippy Ruler Spray. I spray the back of all my non grip rulers and I have a lot of the older ones that are non grip. It works great. It only takes a light spray. I put it in a box to spray. It dries in about a minute.

I have the knock of brand and they are handy especially when hand stitching binding.

And those little clips are SOOOO handy for so many things around the house! I buy a cheaper brand through Amazon.

I just ordered this https://slipdoctors.com/collections/...e-nonslip-tape, in CLEAR. I will give a review or feedback, after it comes in and I test it. I saw someone demonstrate on You Tube and for $15 no shipping, I didn't think I could go too wrong, by giving it a try. I should have plenty for all my rulers. I just hope it is CLEAR as they say. If anyone orders be sure don't get white!...my husband may have to retire again!-lol- He has been my ruler holder while I cut!

I bought a small package of bobby pins.... I have used these to hold pieces of materials together. They seem to work fine for me, and I have not used for quilting yet. I am new to this hobby, I am a man (an old one at that!!) and have little experience with sewing. But this place has given me hints, tips, suggestions, and things to try. I don't recall if I seen the bobby pin trick on a web site, or if I was looking for clips and thought I'd try these. I think I do have some wonder clips, but find myself using the bobby pins!!! Just something from an inexperienced retired purchasing agent/mechanic/biker dude!!!

I love the clips. I am using them more and more other than binding. Not sure of anything new.

I did forget to comment about the clips. I have 50 of the red Clover clips I got with a coupon at JoAnns half or 60% off. I love them for my bindings but also use them on vinyl, to hold together while making projects. I've used them to hold trim on purses,I make. Lots of uses and doesn't leave holes like pins do and easier to clip on too.

Those clips are my go to must haves! Before I even knew what the were, I bought a package of 50, at Tuesday Morning, for $5.99. Yup....$5.99. They are the Wonder brand. Love them so much. Imagine my surprise when I thought I'd pick up another pack at Joann's! Still saving up for those!!

Love the clips! Beware-I bought a batch on Amaz** that hurt my arthritic thumb to use. I bought them because the neon colors were pretty. I have to weed them out of my stash by just tossing the ones that won't open easily.

I have the original wonder clips but also the ones from Amazon and I don't see a difference in them.

I have never used bobby pins before, I'm sure that works just perfectly. I do use binder clips, that are used for large ounces of paper, they work great and come in lots of different sizes

I love the wonder clips also.

I sewed three Hogwarts robes out of heavy gabardine for Halloween. The fabric was so thick that my pins had trouble holding it where seams crossed. Enter the clips! It made sewing the heavy fabric so much easier. I also use them for sewing masks; they hold the fabric where it should be whether shaped seams or pleats.
