I just bought a brand new Brother SE350 for $184 plus tax. Its an embroidery/sewing machine that retails for about $400. I am beyond thrilled. It was marked down at my Walmart about 2 months ago to $300 and my old machine has been giving me problems so I go to Walmart today after volunteering in my daughter's Kindy class to buy this machine at $300. I get to it and its marked down to $184, I could not believe it!!I am so happy!! :-D

Take your extra money and get the PED Basic you won't regret it! You can get thousands of FREE designs off the internet. They are about $120.00 I got mine from Amazon.com.

I know they introduced a new model, SE400, to replace the SE350. Every couple of years they do that.

They have come out with a se400, which can hook up directly to the computer via usb. Haven't figured out much other than that as noone has one yet... I'm looking into getting the 400, but can't figure out if I would still need the basic or if its even needed if you can hook up to the computer without it though.

According to the websites I have looked at you wouldn't need the PED basic with the SE400 machine. Good price too!

Thats what I was hoping... took ALOT of begging on my part to talk hubby into it since he's trying to build me a sewing room right now too, and would really hate to get it then say sorry honey, I need something else for me to get more designs  Thanks for the help on that one.
