So, I put an ad on FreeCycle.org a few days ago, asking for any fabric that people might have laying around and no longer wanted. I got a reply from a lady who said she'd been trying to give this stuff away and no one would show up to get it so I arranged to meet her and today was the day. The back end of her car was FULL of black trash bags of yardage, already cut squares/strips, misc bits as well as...get this....several already completed quilt tops- beautifully made!
She said she'd bought out a quilt shop years ago and was not trying to get rid of this stuff and what she gave me was only a small fraction. My stash is growing quickly and I'm going to finish those quilts and sell them :D Bless her heart------------and yours for asking! |

I'll post a picture today. As for the other fractions, she said she's still going through all the bins in her garage and now that she has my number and knows I'm seriously interested, she'll call me again with more stuff :D
