I LOVE dream Puff batting! once you use it you will love it!

I have a package of Hobbs Tuscany wool and one of Hobbs Premium wool batting. The Tuscany says no shrinkage, the other doesn't state the percentage. Both are resin bonded, both recommend machine washing in barely warm water, little or no agitation. Both recommend drying flat, not in a dryer.

I have used Hobbs Wool Batting. Several years ago I had bought a roll of it. It quilts and drapes beautifully. My quilts are machine washed and dried. There is some shrinkage. My only problem with it is the loft. I machine quilt on my domestic sewing machine. The Hobbs wool has more loft than the Hobbs Hierloom 80/20 cotton/polyester. I had to pin baste much closer together on the wool to prevent puckers because the batting is puffy.

That's the best endorsement I could ever read. Harriet is a master machine quilter and has several heirloom quilting books plus her quilting university series. She has a store in Colorado and sells 14 (I think) types of batting. She knows the qualities of each one and how they will respond to various quilting methods. I took a 2-day quilting class with her and loved every minute of it.
