I am so glad for your experience so far!! I was waiting to here what you thought. I am considering a mat or even an Ironing board cover of wool. Thanks for sharing. What brand did you end up getting?

I just bought one from Amazon and I am very happy with it. I also ironed fold lines out of fq's, works like a dream.

I just bought one from Missouri Star and love it. Works great

I have had one for several months and really liked it. Recently though it left a residue (burnt wool maybe?) on my iron. Do you think that might have come from too hot an iron? Anyone have any thoughts on that problem? I really want to continue to use it as it does such a great job.

From what I've read you aren't supposed to use steam or starch with a wool mat. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm interested in buying one. What brand and size did you get. I can't decide.

I do not honestly know or remember what brand I have. Glad you are happy with yours.
