Working with white fabric

I'm making a high contrast quilt with bright floral print and white tonal fabric. I am pressing to the dark side when possible. I've noticed where to white blocks meet I can see the seam through the fabric. I bought the fabric at my local quilt shop, it's not a cheap fabric. Will the seems show through once I add batting, backing and quilt it? Is this common with white fabric? I'm so frustrated, my quilt shop never said anything to me about transparency when the picked the fabric out for me. I'm a new quilter, this is my third quilt and I'm never worked with white fabric before.

Use white batting when you quilt it and you shouldn't see the seams. You can do a test and put the piece (w'/ the seams you can see) on a white fabric or batting you will see how much less noticable it is.

I don't think it will show through if you use white bat. Plus once you get the quilting done.

White fabric can be notoriously transparent. As long as you cant see "threads" , it should be ok to see seams.

I can always see the seam allowances and I always use white batting. I just let it be and don't stress over it.

Thank you! I tested it by placing white fabric behind and the seams are already so much less noticeable. Thanks for everyone's feedback, I feel so much better.

I am in the process of making a snowman quilt, with different blue fabrics as background. I thought I could see it through the white in one block because the blue was a bit dark. Now it does not seem as noticeable. Maybe it's just me. I'm sure your quilt will be fine when the batting is there.

I use a lot of white fabric, and with white batting, the seams don't show.

I constantly use white in my quilts, or snow. My quilting friends used to laugh at me because if there isn't a great deal of white in my quilts, then I'm not happy. Of course, I will make quilts that have no white for family members but if its for me, better believe it that there is lots of white. I haven't noticed any problems and I always use white batting.
