Would Like To Join But No Patterns

I would like to join the pincushion swap but don't know where to get the patterns

You can always find stores that carry particular patterns or free ones:

Click on an image and the look to see who posted. They can also be found in quilt magazines.

You might also try "Googling"...."free pincushion patterns" and see what pops up.....or Google "pin cushion tutorials" and for sure free stuff will pop up.

Here's a cute mini-pouf pincushion pattern, I haven't made one yet but plan to once I go through my leftovers and put some coordinating strips together.

I always make mine up. but i'm known to make weird things. like last thanksgiving I made a roasted turkey. but whats wrong with a good old square stuffed firmly??? make a mini block of a square, put on the back and stuff till you can't stuff anymore. then stuff some more. the trick to a good pincushion is to stuff firmly. use crushed walnut shells if you can find them in your pet store by reptile litter. makes great pincushions. you can decorate the square with soe embroidery, hand or machine, use your imagination and have fun, good luck.

mini stuffed animals make good pincushions too, try looking for a pattern of a bear or something like that. make a cute pumpkin for October.

Pinterest baby! Also, for pin cushions, I sometimes just started sewing and playing. Or start with an orphan block. That's the great thing about pin cushions, if you're not happy with it, you can literally stick a pin in it!!! (Hardy har har)

you can also make a no sew pincushion. Needed a quick pin cushion, gathered a bunch of tree skirting (batting)and turned into a ball and wrapped a piece of cloth, tied then glued to the inside of a small wooden bowl. 3 minutes done.
