I like the idea of Warm Wishes. Possibly the focus blocks could be the light fabric with the red and blue star fabrics in stripes and the flag fabric as the middle stripe.

Maybe Irish Chain? Take a look at the one posted in todays newsletter under pictures "Scrappy Christmas Irish Chain". The big block could be the white with the writing, then the 9 patches with the others. ALL by hand, really? You go girl!

I agree with Gerri B. Needs a light color. Maybe a white or light tan

Hey y'all...
I was asked to make a quilt for a Combat Vets Association for a raffle....here is the material they gave me to make the quilt...I know how I want the middle to be, but would love to hear y'all's ideas about the other blocks...the middle is going to be the white fabric with saying....and I know I want to use 4.5" blocks and strips from the other material...got some ideas of my own but wanted to hear some of y'all's ideas..... |

I like Warm Wishes for this, too. The white would be your feature fabric. Very Easy quilt that always turns out well. You can do any size blocks by making sure that the pieced block is square and the same size as your feature block. Here's the free pattern. http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/d...html?idx=5185_
