I didn't know about the second one as it was made in 1912 and I had thought it was an old pattern.
As today, ladied back then could possibly have made their own patterns to fit their fabric and preferences. Not all quilts have origins in a pervious pattern. |

I came across this quilt the other day and would love to know the name of it. Can anyone help me?
It looks like there are four patches, HST, and six patches in the quilt and it is in the form of a trip around the world. Also the name of this antique quilt pattern This looks like a trip around the world in the center but instead of squares, they are rectangles. Also the border to me is impressive. This is a quilt I have and was hand-made by my DH great grandmother Higby in 1912. Any help would be appreciated. |
Beautiful quilts. Thanks for sharing.
