I am hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. What questions do I need to ask other than the bobbin cover, cord???? He wants $30- was his MIL.
I would say YES, most on here would say the same. If your into older machines ,get it an clean it up . joyce j
Yes, would buy it.
Yup.. Would definitely buy it..
BUY IT, $30 is a great price at least for my area! Is there a bobbin with it?? The ladies over at the Vintage and Antique Machine MB are great and will be able to help you with anything you need.
It's a beauty! I would buy it if I had a place for it.
Oh, I'd buy it at that price.
Buy it hands down....now....do not pass go.....and smile all the way home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely! The price is right, it's a good looking machine, and accessories are not hard to find. That is, of course, if I were in the market for a Red Eye.
Great price, pretty machine... I'd grab it fast!
Like everyone said, grab it and go!
if you like vintage machines that is a great price. the people over in the vintage machine thread should be able to answer any questions you have as i know several of them have singer red eyes.
btw, the decals on this machine look great. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ll-t43881.html |

BUY it, it is a steal, even more so if it comes with the cabinet!
yes buy it. wish i could .
I have a 1918 that my grandmother recd. as a wedding gift from my grandad. It sews like a dream. That is not the original cabinet, but it looks good and fits. Later you may find a lonesome cabinet for it and make it whole. I know you will find great enjoyment out of her.
Buy it! If it was me instead of you I will buy it.

The price is definitely right! Go for it!
Yes!!! Great price, has the cabinet, there is a lot of help out there for fixing her up (if she needs any fixing). Pretty machine.
I would drive all the way down there to get a Red Eye for that price!
Oh, yeah!!!
In a heartbeat!
$30 seems fair for this machine. Does it run? It has no reverse. Even if it does not run you can put a new potted motor on it or put a hand crank on it. You can buy new hand cranks on line.

OK.....did you buy it, are you happy ???

Not sure where you are in PA, but I got TWO red eyes this summer. I paid $20. I love my 15-91 so much, though, I did a hand crank conversion (for fun!) and resold it.
I'd pay way more than that for a Red Eye with decals in that good a condition! Grab it up! :)
OMG I would buy it in a heart beat! I've always always wanted one!!! And that one is so beautiful!!! If you don't buy it I WILL!!!! I'm in MD. :)

Well... after reading the posts here and the post about Featherweight vs Red Eye, I decided to pass on this one and look for a 15-91.
Id buy it...dont need it or have room for it but I certainly WOULD buy it
I would have owned it by now if I saw it.
Sure would buy it!
I paid $50 for mine a few months back and this looks to be in a bit better shape. Still working on mine. Have been distracted this summer. Mine runs but needs a good cleaning; oiling; and some de-rusting on the tension mechanism - or I'll just replace that. And I have my g'grandmother's table to put her into one of these days.
