Wow! That was fun!
 

I was in the area of the Good's Store in Lancaster County today, and checked out their one-night only Christmas sale. It runs from 6 to 12 p.m. I knew the flatfolds would be on sale. Oh my! I got there about a half hour early, and it was OK to make my selection. There was only one other lady in the department and we helped (enabled) each other!! We asked if we could have our fabrics measured and cut, and that was OK. Then the clerks realized that the registers were giving the correct sale price. So, I was out of there before 6 p.m. and I now have a huge supply of whites, creams and neutrals, some black & whites, a green print with 2 coordinating fabrics, and a grey swirly fabric that I "just liked"! I didn't even have them cut the pieces. Most were about 5 or 6 yards. The price per yard.........$1.94!!!!! Can you believe it? It does "feel" like good fabric; nothing thin or stiff. I'll be washing it tomorrow.

WOW and double WOW. You really did find a great bargain. When there is a really good sale, especially on creams and neutrals I try to buy 4-6 yards as it goes quickly.

Sounds like wonderful bargains. Wish I had a shop like that nearby.
