WOW, What A Difference A NEW IRON Makes!!!

I have been using my 15+ year old T-Fal iron (obviously didn't get much use before I started quilting last year!!!) without thinking much about it. After reading some of the previous posts, decided to splurge and bought a new Rowenta DW 8080 ProMaster Steam iron. WOW, can't believe the difference it makes! With more heat and LOTS more steam produced, my piecing seams are so much crisper and flatter!! If you haven't given your iron any consideration lately, think about getting a new one, you will be so glad you did.:p

You're so right..I used to have a Rowenta I loved...it was so powerful but it died...the Rowenta I have now is not doing it for me ...it was a cheaper model and it is starting to leak already...may even return it..

I have a 10yr old rowenta and love it. It was not the most expensive model because i was looking for lighter weight. This fall, it started turning on and off erratically, and DS chopped a small amount off the cord where it went into the iron and reattached it. Now it's good as new. :).

Hugs,
charlotte

Yes, the heat and steam a Rowenta produces is wonderful for quilting, ironing linen and 100% cotton clothing. You're going to love your Rowenta iron. Be sure to read the instruction manual about what kind of water to use, as it varies between models. Enjoy!

If a Rowenta is not in your budget, I just bought a Black and Decker Professional Steam Iron for $24.99 at Walmart that is a terrific steamer.
