Yo Yo Quilts
 

I am sitting in the hospital with a very sick friend. I have made huge bag of yo yos. Has anyone put them on Polarfleece for a quick blanket? Sewing yo yos is my therapy. TY! Dotty

I haven't seen them on the fleece.

However, there is a group here that makes little girl chemo type hats for our Children's Hospital here and they use the yo-yo's to decorate the hats.

Do quilts with yo-yo's stand up to washing and drying? I've never made one.

my mom made about 3 for grandkids, on the four touching sections she sewed them through flannel, she did it by hand but tacked them with 3 stitches in each section and they held up very well

That's a brilliant idea, putting them on fleece! I saw one at a yard sale last week where the yo-yo's were attached only to each other, and while it looked cool, it just seemed...impractical. Putting them on fleece is a good solution.
