You can send me my official membership card to the UFO club now

I swore I was never going to be part of the UFO club. Well, you should never say never.

Do UFO's multiply when you close the sewing room door?

I was organizing my sewing room because I am having a retreat at my house this weekend. Approximately 12-15 people will be coming in and out for the weekend, many of them just want to "see what it is about". That means people will be "borrowing" from my stash and supplies. I dont mind this, especially if they are newbie's or "occasional" quilters but I wanted to make sure something that I needed for a project wasn't borrowed.

After organizing, I counted 22 UFO's and WIP's. Plus another 15 projects or so that I may have the pattern but not the right fabrics or fabric waiting for the right pattern. Then there are about 25 patterns which haven't even been opened.

My "stash" is only about 6 small plastic drawers but my UFO's take up a whole wall of drawers. I looked at some these and they need just a few hours work. Others need a lifetime of help!!!

My goal for the retreat is to complete five of these UFO's. After looking at the price of fabric, I think I will soldier on through with some of these others.

Meanwhile, where do I send the dues for my membership?

:D welcome to the club. at least you now know where all of your UFOs are. mine are scattered here and there. guess i have my head in the sand about how many there actually are :D

:D 1st year dues (after acknowledging that UFOs exist) are free but you must commit to UFO reduction by hook or by crook in order for dues to remain $0 for the following year(s). :D

Welcome!

Here's the club. Hehe. Actually we post pictures when we finish a UFO. If I were you I'd just skip the first seventy some odd pages & start posting where we are. You could skim latter to see what others have finished.

First rule: never, EVER, leave UFO's unattended in a dark room, 'cause they do what they naturally do behind closed doors! Second rule: Refer to first rule if you get confused....:)

I'm currently working on one of my oldest UFO's from 2009. I've the twelve sampler blocks done since then but couldn't come up with the center large block and today I finally did! Yeah for me!

Wow, your UFO's take up more space than your stash. . . I don't think you have enough stash!!!!

Its seems to me the more you get deeper into this quilting the more the UFO's build up but I am slowly knocking mine out, i just got to stop starting more projects when I have several going, I think that is the hardest part.
