You know you have a problem when you don't think you have a problem

So there we were on a beautiful sunny spring day out touring around on the motorbike for a couple of hours. Stopped in a country town for a coffee and of course while DH went to get the drinks I headed into the local thrift shop. Bought 3 pieces of fabric to add to the stash for my scrappy QAYG for the princely sum of 50cents, stuffed them into the biker jacket, downed the coffee and smacked the helmet back on..... all set for the rest of the day......normal....right?

...and yes the ride was just perfect....perfect weather, perfect company, perfect day.:D

Super day as you enjoyed the ride and a good cup of coffee too. Now about the fabric???

PABerard 09-14-2015 02:45 AM

Absolutely normal!

Time for some cargo bags on the bike!!!

GingerK 09-14-2015 04:18 AM

Hmmmm.....I was thinking more like time for one of those little trailers and a road trip! Don't you just love finding bargains--and spending time together on a beautiful day of course!

bearisgray 09-14-2015 04:21 AM

Sounds like a wonderful day!

i agree !!!! :)

dunster 09-14-2015 06:18 AM

I don't see anything strange about this. Does that mean I have a problem too?

joe'smom 09-14-2015 09:25 AM

I don't think you have a problem, except for thinking you have a problem because you don't think you have a problem.

tessagin 09-14-2015 09:27 AM

Ditto what she said!

What a relief. I thought you were going to say you came out with a sewing machine.

Bree123 09-14-2015 09:34 AM

What was the problem again?

caspharm 09-14-2015 09:54 AM

I don't think you have a problem, but I might be starting one with machines ;). I already have a couple and on the way home yesterday from a Tahoe/Reno trip, we stopped at 2 shops and I looked at several different machines, including a Singer 66 Redeye. However, I am getting more discerning and we were also pretty full, since part of the trip was a quilting retreat and I had my stuff with us.

hairquilt 09-14-2015 09:59 AM

Sounds like you & DH had a great time!! Is a motorbike same as a motorcycle?? Just wish I could get on one & go!!

ruby2shoes 09-14-2015 12:23 PM

oh caspharm...a 66 is the last singer I am looking for to add to my little vintage "herd" of singers and if I had found one of those on Sunday i would've carried it on my lap all the way home!! Old singers, (machines not vocalists) can get ridiculously pricey over here, everyone thinks they can make a fortune by selling nanna's old machine these days.

Yes hairquilt, motorbike/motorcycle...same thing. We have 3 BMW's.

Bubbie 09-15-2015 04:26 AM

Sounds good to me. But then I'm always game if fabric might be found.

Mornigstar 09-15-2015 05:50 AM

I was riding on my motor cycle here yesterday but only to go look at contract quilting job . The fabric I came home with belonged to the lady for whom I will make 2 quilts --blocks sewn by her mom. Oh my bike is an "auto cycle " called an auto moto in the USA . Has 2 wheels on back and the one in the front moves with the seat . No gears and easy to ride. Hubby has the Italian PIAGIO with 2 wheels in from and one on back. We enjoy them in summers only don't take south for winter.
today is a great temp day to go riding but I must quilt.

BettyGee 09-15-2015 06:47 AM

Problem? What problem?

IBQUILTIN 09-15-2015 10:19 AM

I say Way to go. Sounds like an enjoyable day all the way round. You go Girl

So, it is a problem then if you -have- carried a sewing machine on a motorcycle? I'm uh... asking for a friend. Yeah. A friend.

ruby2shoes 09-15-2015 11:56 PM

haha, carrying one on my lap could pose a problem as I have been known to fall asleep when I am on the back...haven't fallen off .....yet.....

BETTY62 09-16-2015 12:18 AM

Sounds normal to me. Doesn't everyone look for fabric everywhere they go?

CarolinePaj 09-16-2015 01:20 AM

You have no problem whatsoever....... whatever made you think you did!!!?????

Hugs

If you have hard bags, be careful what you put in there if the other person likes to keep unopened cans of pop in there.

We had a can explode and it ruined the other half's camera and a few other articles.

No fabric, but I did have a 50mm telescope in a water tight case in the bag. My camera was in my backpack.

Jan in VA 09-16-2015 09:35 PM

NO! It wasn't perfect because I wasn't riding with you!! :p :D :D

(But it sounds glorious!! )
