Are you a piecer or a quilter?

Working away at FMQ-ing my current queen sized project, I'd have to say, I'm a piecer more than a quilter.

I enjoy quilting, especially now with my new Singer S18 with the large harp space, but I really look forward to seeing the quilt come together as I piece it, like a big jigsaw puzzle.

So....Which are you?

I'm a piece but I'm really trying to become a quilter.
My progress is slow, but I'm getting better.

I am definitely a piecer. I guess that is why I have so many UFOs. The quilting process is my least favorite part of this hobby. I don't even mind doing the binding, if I can get that far🤔

I've been more of a piecer but am becoming a quilter since I got my Sweet Sixteen. Trying to catch up on unquilted tops.

I consider myself to be a fiber artist (or some people use the term "textile artist"). I enjoy the entire process from designing the quilt, doing lots of hand applique, some piecing (that is my least favorite part), machine quilting, and adding dimension using various different techniques. I love seeing my creation come to life and that involves applique, piecing & quilting.

Most definitely my favorite part is designing the quilt and piecing it together. I do the quilting since I can't afford to have it quilted here. My next plan is to go to one of the LA places that teach you to do it yourself and can just rent the time on the machine. Maybe then I will enjoy the quilting more.

I enjoy piecing far more than quilting. Hate sandwiching and basting, so that's where I lag. Figuring out how to quilt something is sometimes a bugaboo. Once binding is ready. I enjoy that part, too. I'm starting to enjoy quilting now that I have a large harp.

I love the quilting aspect, but only since I got a longarm. Before that I found quilting to be tedious. Now I find myself looking for designs that will allow the quilting to shine.

Both! I love the process of construction, seeing the quilt ( become). Then I love quilting the finished top, seeing it come to life. :)

Right now I'm unmotivated but love to do both.
