I seen where they said to please enter the quantity as 2. Does that mean that the prices shown was for only 1/2 metre? Wow.

No, it's because there is more than 1 metre but less than 2 metres left on the bolt. You need to put in 2 for the 'system', as you can't buy just 1 metre, but have to take al that is remaining on the bolt.
