I like piecing the quilts also but I only allow myself 3 to 4 UFO's. Then I have to finish them and I have been doing good. I finished at least 7 tops and now I have 3 UFO's and working on one project. One of the UFO's is to be hand quilted so I don't really count that because it takes me at least a year to finish hand quilting.

Yup!

LOL!!! I'm the same!! I like putting a project together but then my progress really stalls...

My DH is too excited to quilt them. He finished one before I can get another top made and is waiting for the next one. I would never get them done if I made them all by myself.

Don't think I qualify as a topper, do have 2 tops waiting to be sandwiched, but backing, batting and binding have been cut, just waiting for a cool enough day to sandwich them. Does this mean I can add them to my W.I.P.s collection?

When you die, and it will happen, your descendants would rather have a quilt than a quilt top! I know, that is morbid, but someone passed it along to me. And I am guilty too. I have more quilt tops than quilts presently. Hopefully I will live until I get them quilted!

I'm a topper! Haven't completed not one quilt.

Even Eleanor Burns told us in class that she really doesn't care what happens after it is pieced.
I have made a promise to get one top quilted each month. My quilter can't believe how fast I have been putting them together. Let's not tell her how long they have been in the closet. |
Oh, & are we "Quilters" if we only piece tops?
