You tube all day

In my sewing lounge, copying a member here, I usually have the TV on for background noise. Lived too long alone and always had the TV on for company. Today decided to watch/listen to quilty shows instead of my normal crime shows. When I told DH, he put his hand on my forehead to see if I was ill. Maybe I'll learn a new trick or two.

I keep a Kindle Fire tablet in my sewing room to play quilt videos. I have found that the older videos have lots of good tips and info not usually found on the new ones.

I had Pat Sloan on youtube all day while I stitched, it's good to be able to look up and see something or just keep stitching away.

I spent some time watching quilting videos the other day just to refresh myself on some of the rulers I had bought and now that I've started a new project, I'm glad I did! -but I still love watching the crime shows while sewing.

What's the difference b/t an Ipad and a Kindle fire. Does anyone know? I bring my Ipad to my sewing room sometimes but I'm usually plugged in to podcasts or audiobooks.
What would we do without Youtube? Such a great site.

I don't watch a lot of TV or You Tube videos except for MSQC videos. I am getting ready to put on a video from Accuquilt shortly so I can watch how they are assembling a Christmas stocking that is different from what is on the outside of the envelope it came in. You are right so much to learn just not enough time to get it all in.

Price! Lol. They are both prioritized, meaning iPad used iPad apps and Kindle uses Amazon Kindle apps. Although, I have read people who unlock their Kindle so they can use other apps found on the Play Store. But seriously, Kindled are so much cheaper. Yesterday I saw a Kindle HD 10 was $135.00 (no ads, 64gb) or $120.00 with ads. Oh, Kindle only operates on wireless, no 4g/5g. I love my Kindle. Works for what I want to do.

I like Donna Jordans videos

Yesterday I ordered two Kindle HD 10 from Amazon for $70 each! We are a Kindle household. DH has an IPad but likes his Kindle Fire tablet better. I have several older ones for the grands to use when they are here. They watch movies and play games and sometimes even read a book on them. LOL

The Fire has external storage and a camera. I download videos and watch them if I'm somewhere with no wi fi.

My last Kindle was only $40. I got the 16GB one because I was tired of the original one telling me "low on space". (8GB).

I don't have a TV but the laptop is usually on YT. I can listen to music or certain videos that don't need to be looked at, just listened to. I can also catch up on People's Court and Judge Judy.

My newer Kindle is upstairs in my bedroom. Last night I had trouble getting to sleep. Turned on YT, found a 90 minute video about exploring abandoned mines in the west. Asleep in 5 minutes.
