on your name tags

Do you just say "Made by xxxx" or what do you put on it if you do the piecing and have the quilting done by someone else??

I say
Pieced or appliqued or assembled by [my name]
Quilted by [quilter's name]

Ditto to QuiltNNan .. also don't forget to give credit to the pattern/designer.

That's what I do too
I used to hand embroider all my labels - no more
Found sewnsewer2 on this Board and she's been doing my labels since.
Machine embroidered, wonderful work, very reasonable.

Except a whole lot of designers use block patterns that have been in the public domain for years and years so who knows who actually designed the pattern.

i put the name of the quilt- designed by- pieced by- quilted by- fiber contents- care instructions- date- city-state
if it is for a particular person/occassion i also add pertinent details concerning that--
example-

Dragonfly summer
a special appliqued quilt for my daughter (her full name)'s 35th birthday
designed, pieced, appliqued & quilted by __________________
applique patterns by-______________
March 2012, Alanson, MIchigan
100% cotton top, hand dyed 100% cotton backing, 100% Dream wool batting
Machine wash gentle, cool water (or spot clean) - tumble dry

Agreed!
And too, I seldom follow a pattern to the "T", making my own changes.
So the wording I have used is ...

Adapted from a ___(name)_____ pattern

I have some my late friend had made for me several years ago. I have used some but, not on every quilt I make. I expect them to remember I gave them to them.
