Your Opinion please ....

I want to make a crib size baby quilt ( 45 X 60 ) using the Chevron Striped pattern. The pattern I have uses 12 inch blocks but to me this stripe seens too large for a baby quilt. Should I reduce the size of the blocks and if so, what size block do you suggest?

You can always reduce the squares/triangles to 10-8 " or just google.

I think reducing the size would work well for a baby quilt. Also make sure that you don't end up with half a chevron, that just bugs me. I like the sides of a chevron quilt to end the same way the row started. With one exception to the rule that adds a " head" at one end to make worms.

I agree - that would be large for a baby quilt. Here are a few links that might help:

Good luck and be sure to let us see the finished product!!

yes, i think the chevrons would be too big... unless the parents really love bold things. here's a pattern
