This is an embroidery design and it makes a 26" square
I was wondering if I made a bunch of them with scraps if it would make a good quilt or not. Or I could put one as the center medallion.
This is all done in the embroidery hoop
Your opinions count, pros and cons please,
Thank you

It makes a very heavy centerpiece. I guess you could try it.
It is kind of stiff too.

It looks like a wonderful block. If they look too busy with multiple ones in the same quilt, your idea as a center medallion is a great one. Kids' fabrics would make a lovely crib quilt.

Beth it wouldn't be too heavy as it would be done all in the hoop, no stabalizer just the batting the top fabric and the last step is to join the backing, or would it?

Thank you to the three of u :)

I made the tabletopper. I just thought it may be to heavy when you attach it to the backing. The center block would look great. Just use the lightest batting you can find. Enjoy..

It won't be too heavy or stiff if you use a fusible like Steam a Seam 2. I've done many embroidered quilt blocks like this.

If you use spray baste and not fusible to place your blocks, the stitching is minimal on this design, so it shouldn't be too bulky. I can't wait to see it in a quilt :D:D:D
