I save all patterns to a file on my desktop and then about once a month I copy them to a disk and date the disk. If it's one that I plan on making in the very near future, then I'll print it out when I first get it. I then keep the disks in a ready-made folder for easy retrieval.

Get "Carbonite". (Google it) It is a secure online encrypted website that backs up your contents of your computer. So when, not if, your computer crashes, you can retrieve all your stuff. It works great and is relatively inexpensive. $55 per year, I believe. It has saved my butt a couple of times. I am not affiliated with this company at all, I just believe in it.

Thank you for this information. I will be looking into this for me.
