I've bought many boxes of them and they've never had so much as a faint odor to them. I just got 2 boxes at walmart and when I opened one, it has a very strong scent. Similar to dryer sheets, I think (I'm not completely sure-I don't use anything scented in the wash other than spray and wash, but I have smelled the dryer sheet aisle at the store). Has something changed? And if so, is the scent noticeable after the wash is done?

I've never noticed an odor to any I've used.
I'm watching for answers to this too, and wondering if they have changed the formula. I don't like too much odor in stuff, there's enough chemicals in things as it is. When I want odors I'll put it on them myself in the amounts that I want. Too much gives me a migraine and that isn't any fun at all.

My two boxes have no order. I don't think I would like it if they did.

I sent an email to SC Johnson. I'll post any reply I get.

No odor here either. Let us know what they say.

I just bought these on Tuesday and they have a different colored label than normal also. The old box was mostly white and these are red. No scent info on the box at all.

I've got a few of the new boxes and there is no scent. Maybe they were shipped with something scented and absorbed some of the scent. I remember back in my retail days when potpourri would come in and it stunk up everything around it.

I had just bought a box of Shout color catchers in the red box - there is a very faint scent in my box. It also says it is safe to use in the dryer?! Don't remember that being on the old box and wonder how in the world that would work...

some stores stack them all together with the fab softeners or what ever and the boxes can obsorb the odors from other (stuff) if you remove them from the box and let them air it should go away...it is probably the card board that has the smell...but it may have gone all the way through

Im afraid to use them. The one time I did, it got laid against a light colored part of the quilt during the spin cycle and transferred a lot of die to that spot. This ever happen to anyone else, or am I the only one?
