Try about.com and ehow.com. They have instructions.

If your talking about the round fabric Yoyos I'm not sure how you would quilt it.
Most of the "quilts" I have seen are more like coverlets except for one. The one I saw that was an actual quilt was really heavy because the Yoyo's were stitched to each other then to the quilt after the fact. So they were more like a decoration or embelishment than a structual part of the quilt. If you do find one I'd love to see it. I wonder if you made a square Yoyo if that wouldn't work for what you need? Though I'm thinking you would tie it rather than quilt it. Hope this helped and if you do find one please let me know. Faith :XD: |
I am thinking you could tack the yoyo to a backing then out batting then another backing.. then quilt around each yoyo? Don't know?

This will be something new as I've not seen or heard that a yo-yo quilt is quilted like standard pieced quilts. I'd love to know how they do it.

I had to check out this thread to find out who was feeling guilty about yoyo's!

I've been making yo-yo's for ages and they are a pain to stitch together IMHO. I plan on trying to use my machine which has a backtack function, then just drag the thread to the next yo-yo. Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated. I love making the darned things! |
Sorry for my spelling! Yoyo quilts I meant! LOL
