Zip Zip Bag
The May 2013 issue of Connecting Threads had a kit ----"Zip Zip Bag". Due to my procrastination in ordering, it was no longer available. By any chance would someone know a source of the pattern? I spoke with Connecting Threads and the kit is no longer available nor is the pattern. I would appreciate any help in this.

If you know who the designer of the bag is, you might be able to procure a pattern that way. Does the catalog list the name of the designer?
|
try binging it, is it similar to a whatnot bag, snapbag or pencil case?

Thanks, why didn't I think of this? Long day with birthday party for 3 family members. DIL, great grandson age 7 and DH age 74. Need to engage my brain. Thanks again, will try contacting the designer.

Hi Quilting Grandma, what does the zip zip bag look like please? I have done a search on connecting threads for zip zip bag made by Susan Terpin and 2,000 plus came up all different. I love bags with zips and may have made one in my vast collection of bags with zips.

Hi DOTTYMO, it has 3 zippered pockets in the front and looks like amessanger bag. The inside pocket is large enough for an iPad. It is 16" x 91/2". I have checked Susan Terpin's web site and can find no info. Very frustrating. Thanks for any help you can give me. Janice

I think this might just work. I could make it longer to fit my wanted dimensions . Thanks so much

I have sent you a PM.

I sent Susan Terpin an email. Here is her response:
"Hi Peggi, Yes I designed the Zip Zip Bag for Connecting Threads. The pattern actually belongs to Connecting Threads, so I cannot sell it to you. However if you want to apply some pressure, contact Teri Stillwell at Connecting Threads, maybe she will release the pattern as a download! I'm sorry I'm not much help in this case. I do have plans to write a 7" tablet and an ipad bag design for Sewing Sue, but it is just in development now. If you have any suggestions or requests, maybe I can work them into a design. Cheers Sewing Sue" |
Here is a web sight that might be what you are looking for. http://tipnut.com/messenger-bags/

There is a bag that sounds a lot like the one that you are looking for on "sew sweetness.com" called the Dot,Dot,Dash bag. It is a downloadable pattern for about $9.00. I also saw a similar one for free on "sew4home.com. Look in the project guide for bags and totes. It had 3 zippers if I am not mistaken. There are lots of different projects on that site. I have made several and was really pleased with most of them. Good luck finding what you want.

Grandma, Please let me know if you have any luck finding this pattern. It doesn't sound like CT is going to offer it again. So sad!!
