Default Printing labels...freezer paper backing ? yes or no

have a book of really cute quilt labels than I can print. Do I freezer paper back the fabric....gonna use muslin. Should the fabric be a bit smaller than the freezer paper? Can you tell I'm clueless. Will trace the markings and then..well who knows how I'll finish it. Just need where to start

If you iron the fabric to the freezer paper, you can send it through most printers. All printers seem to be a bit different as to how they like it done. For my printer, I cut the fabric the same size as the paper and it works just fine.

If you want to just print the labels and sew them on, the fabric has to be treated to make the ink permanent.

I also iron the fabric to the freezer paper. I first cut the freezer paper so it fits in my printer. I then iron the muslin to the freezer paper, select pattern (using free labels on the
June Tailor site) and then print. After printing, I iron the label a couple of times, as suggested, to set the ink. Works well for me. I have not seen any of the label on quilts I have made and don't know if the ink lasts. This is because I usually give my quilts away as gifts.
