I agree with Ron and Tartan. I think it will block out. Some block before adding binding, some after and some do both. Anytime you wash the quilt it will need to be blocked to dry. If this were mine I would block it by using the two inner teal colored borders as my visual aid to straighten them up. Then I would measure out that the black border was the same width throughout. So when I block I would have two rows of pins, possibly even 3.

It might have been the mitered corners that helped cause the bow. Very sorry, but I don't know if blocking it will make it completely square, but it is certainly worth a try.

How did you measure for the borders.

I don't remember- it was a couple of years ago.

I would do as Rob says - block it. Just make sure your pins are rust-proof before you do!

just had to say, i have a quilt hanging in my hallway. I'd just moved and it had been folded. was nice and straight before. I hung it, then ironed it on the wall (suggestion by son). worked for awhile. now it hangs but ripples a bit. so be it!!

I vote for blocking it too. Since it's going to be a wallhanging you may also want to add some starch to that water to wet for blocking????

I have no suggestions. Never had this happen. So sorry it has happened. It is a beautiful quilt from what I can see.

Good luck getting it fixed.
