Purse question
I would really love to try to make a purse using a pattern but I am confused by what is interfacing or fusible web and I have seen fusible fleece as a requirement as well?? What it is and where do I buy it? I hope Walmart! thx

Joann fabrics. Or maybe Walmart. I just learned these things.
There is fusible fleece which is like thin batting with sticky stuff on one side so it doesnt require quilting just iron it on. There is interfacing which is usually the thickness of a piece of fabric and is sticky on one side, gives it body without the bulk of batting--you use this in Tee shirt quilts also. Fusible Web is like Wonder Under or Steam a Seam. Finally, there is Peltex or Timtex, it is really stiff and makes the bag have a shape.
You can order all of them online at Nancy's notions, Joann's.com, Hancock fabrics.
Btw, my girlfriend who makes alot of purses, always puts interfacing in her "pockets" even though the pattern doesn call for it. Just makes it finish nicer.

I get all my fusible fleece from WalMart. I like their's much better than what I get from Joann's, it is heavier and cheaper. Interfacing is something that adds substance to fabric. It can be very light to very heavy depending on what you are using it for. Fusible web is used to fuse 2 pieces of fabric together (like applique). There isn't much use for web in purse making. My usual needs are- Medium wt. interfacing for pockets, fusible fleece for exterior pieces and sometimes Decor Bond to stiffen lining if I want the purse to have more structure.
